Yes, completely. There are no freemium tiers, no watermarks on outputs, and no daily processing limits. Every tool is free to use as much as you want.
Do my images get uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API (or WebAssembly for AI-powered tools). Your files never leave your device. We don't have servers that receive your images.
What image formats are supported?

It depends on the tool. The Screenshot Beautifier and Image Compressor support JPEG, PNG, and WebP. The Image Converter (coming soon) will add HEIC, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, and SVG support — including high-demand conversions like HEIC to JPG and WebP to JPG.
How many files can I process at once?

The Image Compressor supports batch processing with no hard limit — just drop in a folder of images and compress them all at once. Other tools will gain batch support as they're built.

Do I need to create an account?

PixelTools is an indie project. Because all processing runs client-side, server costs are minimal. We want to build the best free alternative to paid tools like TinyPNG, remove.bg, and Squoosh — tools that are great but charge for what should be free.
